Tips on Using Positive Affirmations To Make Them Nore Effective
Why use Positive AffirmationsAre you unsure about using positive affirmations to make your life stress free, more productive, successful, relaxed and abundant? Here I will show you why positive affirmations are so powerful, and how to make them even more effective. Knowingly or knowingly, all of us are using positive affirmations in everything that we do. Even if we are engaging in negative thinking, it is still a positive affirmation. We are continuously running some inner dialogues in our minds—all of our life is governed by the beliefs contained in this self talk. You might be unaware of the positive or negative talking that you are giving to yourself, but if you pay attention to our internal environment, you will realize that you are always telling yourself some or the other belief. These beliefs were formed by your own past experiences, which, if you don't examine from time to time, will keep on conveying commands to your subconscious mind us. Some of those commands might be destructive and will not let you live a happy and stress free life. Some of these might be defeatist. By using positive affirmations, you replace those negative and destructive internal dialogues, with positive and constructive ones. Some of the affirmations will be met by internal resistance, where they are in conflict with some deeply held beliefs. By repeating these positive affirmations to yourself, you force your subconscious to examine the conflict, and resolve it. Using positive affirmations you give positive feedback to your mind, and ultimately, depending upon your perseverance, and the faith that you carry in your affirmations, you will be able to bring about desired changes in your life. You can take the help of an expert or create affirmations on your own. Here I narrate some techniques that you should adopt in forming the positive affirmations, so that they are effective, and help you in living a stress free life. How To Form Positive AffirmationsIdentify your goal: Think clearly, and try to ascertain what is it that you want to achieve. Using positive affirmations, you want to reach goals, that eventually move you closer to your life's aim. Be specific: You should have clarity about the objective, and you should be as specific as possible. Avoid generalized statements. For example, don't say 'I will not procrastinate,' but say, 'I will finish job A by 10 P.M.' Bring faith to work: While repeating positive affirmations, start believing in those statements with all your heart. Speak them with fait and conviction. Doing this repeatedly will increase your self confidence. Whether you say them silently or speak them out aloud, unless you put feelings in them, they will not very effective. Make only positive statements: Avoid negative affirmations, because mind often ignores the negations and start believing in the active part of the statement. For example, don't say, 'I am not lazy,' but say, 'I am energetic and enthusiastic!' Instead of saying, 'I am not poor,' say, 'I am rich.' Write them: Write down your positive affirmations. Write them where you will see them often. Make them a kind of self reminders, so that pop up on you from time to time. Pin up these written positive affirmations in your room, kitchen, and fridge-- anywhere. Written statements have more persuasion: we are likely to take them more seriously. Repeat: When you start using positive affirmations to achieve your life goals, to de-stress yourself, or to feel more relaxed or self-confident, repeat them often in your mind. Saying the affirmations aloud is more effective. Repeating them several times will have more effect on your subconscious mind. But the caveat is that, don't repeat them mechanically: say them with conviction, and feel them with your heart. Relaxing music: The positive affirmations will be more effective when you are relaxed. I will advise you to use some soft relaxation music in the background, and then start your positive affirmation exercise. You can listen to binaural relaxation music, or meditation music, or any music that makes you feel calm and relaxed. Repeating positive affirmations when you are calm and peaceful will have more effect on your mind, and you subconscious is more likely to believe in them. In the end, remember that when you start this endeavor which is meant for improving your life, don't let it be forgotten in the daily grind of life, and secondly, follow your good intentions with action. Words, without action, they say, carry scant meaning.
