Symptoms of Panic Attack:

Are You Having a Panic Attack?

Identifying Symptoms Of Panic Attack

First off, rest assured: many people have panic attacks and yet are able to completely recover from it and be able to live a normal life. If you are having a panic attack, don't think that you are going insane or your mind and emotions are going out of your hand. This is a culmination of series of events in your life, plus your own interpretations to them.

Sometimes, heredity also plays its part, as do the circumstances your life throws you into. You don't have any control over both of these, so you might not be responsible for these anxiety or panic attacks that you are having.

Some personality types are also prone to anxiety disorders, usually identified by poor coping skills.

Whatever the reason, having a panic attack is a very disturbing experience. It will leave you with a battered self image and the apprehension that your feeling and reactions are not in your complete control. It gives a good beating to your self esteem, your self confidence, and the fear of yet another such attack.

To be able to do anything about them, it is important to understand its signs and symptoms so that you are sure that you really are having a panic attack.

So, here are its major identifying symptoms of panic attack:

  1. Your heart starts pounding for no apparent reason. Some people also experience it as chest pain. They might feel that their heart it is going completely out of control.
  2. There are some physical symptoms that often accompany such attacks – such as profuse cold sweating. You might also feel chills or warm.
  3. Though it is not an identifying sign, yet an upset stomach, combined with some of the symptoms described here might also indicate that you are suffering from panic attacks.
  4. What is almost a certain sign of having a panic attack is a feeling of dizziness. Or light heartedness.
